To grow the Haematococcus pluvialis, we use photobioreactors developed by Cultipharm, through in-depth studies on the dynamics of growth and accumulation of astaxanthin by this microalgae. We use fully automated and remotely controlled production models, to ensure production stability that is hard to achieve with manually controlled systems.
To grow Haematococcus, our plants use solar energy during the day, and certified green energy at night.
The productive process is carbon neutral with an added water saving that counts less than 20lt of water for each kg of dried finished product.
The growing, harvesting and packaging processes take place in an enclosed in a allergen-free certificated environment.
Our sophisticated production techonology and our low-temperature dehydrating process allow us to get a higher quality Astaxathin, compared to other manufacturers. We produce powdered, dehydrated Haematococcus pluvialis with a high concentration of Astaxanthin, instead of achieving the suitable concentration through the extraction process in oleoresin as all other manufacturers do.
To achieve a more natural and complete profile of our Cultipharm Oxanthin®, astaxanthin is no longer extracted, but we perform a partial cell lysis, that allows for a perfect combination between bioavailability and the inner molecules stability.
Since we do not separate the astaxanthin from the algae matrix, we can keep the phytocomplex intact.
